Got Tdap?

Parents of 6th graders - you will need to provide documentation that your child had a Tdap (whooping cough) booster shot given on or after 7 years old.  Our goal is to have ALL 6th grade students provide this documentation before the end of May.  If you haven't done so already, check your child immunization record of call your physician to find out when they last had a Tdap vaccination.  Once the shot is completed, bring in the immunization record to your child's school they attend NOW so we can document that the requirement has been completed.  DO NOT WAIT UNTIL SUMMER TO COMPLETE THIS REQUIREMENT.

Are your records current?

Please make sure immunization records are updated, Emergency contact current, phone numbers, work numbers, family numbers, daycare providers.  Check with the school office and/or Parent Portal

Visitors on Campus

During school supervision hours, parents and visitors must come through the office and obtain a visitor badge to enter the Laurelwood campus.  For the safety of the students and staff, parents are asked to stay behind the yellow lines during school hours unless they are volunteering in a classroom.  All deliveries of lunches, homework, backpacks, etc. should be delivered to the school office to ensure student safety and minimize classroom interruptions.  Thank you in advanced for your assistance and support.

Welcome to Laurelwood!

School Year 2015-2016

Student Classroom Placement:

Your child’s classroom placement can be viewed on August 18th using your Parent Portal Account.  Your Parent Portal Account MUST be updated in order to see your child’s classroom placement.  If you have not updated your emergency contacts on your Parent Portal Account, there will be an information table set up in front of the multi-purpose room on the first day of school with staff to direct you to your child's classroom.  Please allow yourself enough time as a long line is a possibility.

First Day of School:

The 2015-2016 school year begins on Wednesday, August 19th at 8:15a.m.  Students are expected to either be at their classroom line or sitting at their desk at 8:15am.  If your child is late, they will be asked to go to the school office to pick up a tardy slip before returning to their classroom.

Minimum Days:

The first minimum day is Thursday, August 27th. Dismissal will be at 12:45pm on each Thursday thereafter.

Families on Campus:

During the first three days of school, you are invited to drop off your child at their classroom line.  Beginning August 24, 2015, parents and guardians are requested to drop off their children at the front of the school, and wait behind the yellow lines.  This is for the safety of all students.
